Mallory Moyer
Mallory Moyer is young, beautiful, talented, sweet, and smart. She has it all going for her, especially with her newest album “Solo Going”. Her sound is like Jewel’s romantic style mixed with Joss Stone and a touch of nouveau folk sweetness. Once you hear her elegant melody and the delightful vibrato in her voice, tears might fall from your cheeks. “Solo Going” is a true love story filled with emotions, you will want to dive yourself into it just like a fairytale dream.
Mallory Moyer’s Musical Beginnings
Born in San Francisco, Mallory currently resides in New Port Richey, FL. Her love of music began at of 7 when she first began piano lessons. She then moved on to singing, the French horn, guitar, mandolin, trumpet, and the djembe. Mallory’s biggest influencers are Nina Simone, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, Abba, Simon and Garfunkel, Johnny Cash, The Bangles, and Willie Nelson. She really likes to mix the old folk harmony with accents of new world. Some say she reminds them of Dave Matthews because of the similar expressiveness, rhythmic lyricism and the layering of different instruments.
Magical Moments with Fans
What Mallory loves most about her fans is that they genuinely believe in her and want to support her. Many fans come up to her after a performance and tell her how much her music touches their hearts. One of Mallory’s best memories is when a young couple asked her to play their wedding song. “It was “‘I’ll Follow You Into The Dark’” by Death Cab Cutie and it was just precious! Their 2-year-old son was dancing to my music the whole time, so cute!” - Mallory
Another amazing memory was when she recently played at the local library and ended up performing several songs with a homeless woman. After they performed, the woman expressed to Mallory how moving it was for her to share that magical experience.
